Spending time with my employees helps me to determine what’s missing in our company marketing plan. Listen to your staff, as they tend to be the ones that are in direct contact with your customers each day. One of my employees suggested that we try some newly designed trade show displays, to spark interest in our company. It was a brilliant idea and I put her in charge of acquiring the displays. I ended up promoting her to an executive position, as her strategies were sophisticated and exactly what our company needed to take us into the future. I gave her a pay increase too and she was on her way to a promising career.
