There are essentially a couple main alternatives when constructing a countertop for your bar. Many want to build a completely new bar from the ground up. Then there are those who would simply rather build the countertop to an existing place like cabinet, table etc.
It is usually less expensive to choose the alternative option because you’ll only have to replace the top layer, which is available in many different choices. If your countertop sees harsher use, then you’ll want material that won’t wear, stain, or break easily. You don’t want to have to be constantly repairing your countertop, you want it to last a long time without needing repairs. My next post will be about - countertop installation.
