If you were to try to run a heater without a working heat pump then you will find out very quickly that the device may not work at all. Although the heat pump is the part of the device that moves the generated heat from the device out to the home and through the vents, most devices that require it have safety features that make the unit not work if the Heat Pumps aren’t working. The reason for this is that the heat pump “moves” the heat out of the unit. If the heat doesn’t move out it can overheat and cause damage.
