When a couple with children decide to get a divorce, it is often difficult for the mother to decide what to do about the economic crisis that she may find herself in afterwards. There are many things that need to be taken care of, from finding a full time job to paying for childcare and all of the other bills that tend to pile up quickly. Being a single mother, I too found myself in a bad situation with a lack of income to support my family on my own. But after applying for government assistance for single mothers, I was able to keep my family going without too much added stress.
